Dr. Fauci: U.S. Could See New Variant If Community Spread Isn't Contained
The White House’s chief medical advisor is encouraging more people to get inoculated against COVID-19, warning unless the vaccination rates increase and the virus spread is brought under control, the U.S. may see another variant appear “sooner than later.” Scientists have already identified the delta plus and lambda strains in the country. Dr. Anthony Fauci also said a booster shot for Americans with weakened immune systems is in the works and a “very high priority.”
